Tour Plan

What To Expect

The Centrum area of Amsterdam, Netherlands, contains the Grachtengordel neighborhood, also referred to as the Canal District in English. The Amsterdam canals from the seventeenth century, which are in the city’s heart, were included on the UNESCO World Heritage List in August 2010. [1] The region surrounding the Singel, Herengracht, Keizersgracht, and Prinsengracht are collectively referred to as the Amsterdam Canal District. The canals from the Brouwersgracht eventually flow southeast into the Amstel river and are often parallel to one another. The majority of the canal homes in the Amsterdam Canal District date to the 17th century, the Dutch Golden Age. However, many of these structures have undergone repair or renovation over the years, exhibiting a variety of architectural facades and styles.
