The museum has three permanent exhibition parts and houses more than 10,000 historic objects related to the 9/11 attacks.
The Day of 9/11, Before 9/11, and After 9/11 are the three sections of the historical exhibition. The Memorial Exhibition “In Memoriam” honors the lives of those who died on September 11, 2001 and February 26, 1993 and gives visitors the chance to learn about the men, women, and children who died. The Foundation Hall is a room of enormous scale, housing both the last column and the slurry wall.
While seeing the moving 9/11 Memorial & Museum, consider the events of September 11, 2001. Pay attention to individual tales of recollection and resiliency in the wake of the terrorist attacks.
The National September 11 Memorial & Museum, a nonprofit organization in New York City, remembers and honors the 2,983 victims of the horrific attacks on September 11, 2001, and February 26, 1993, as well as those who risked their lives to save others and everyone who showed extraordinary compassion in the wake of the attacks. This is done through commemoration, exhibitions, and educational programs.
