Tour Plan

Full Description

Giant’s Causeway and Game of Thrones tour departing from Belfast takes in the splendor of Northern Ireland and the iconic Giant's Causeway. Travel the Antrim Coast Road and stop at the Giants Causeway, Carrickfergus Castle, Glenarm Castle, Carnlough Harbour, Waterfoot Caves, Cushendun Curfew House, Rope Bridge, and The Dark Hedges.
You will travel briefly to reach your first destination of the day, Carrickfergus fortress, a 12th-century Norman fortress, after departing Belfast in the morning. Stroll about and snap pictures of the port and the castle.
Proceed to drive through several of the nine Glens of Antrim as you follow the Antrim Coast Road. As you pass through tiny towns and villages, you'll hear stories about the leprechauns and fairies that call these glens home.

As you travel through Glenarm, you will see the Cushendun Curfew House, the Waterfoot Caves, and Carnlough Harbour. Proceed up via Glencorp and Glendunn, past Ballycastle, a seaside town, to the Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge viewpoint at Portaneevy View Point.
Take a moment to appreciate the views from the rope bridge, which spans Rathlin Island and the Mull of Kintyre in Scotland. After learning the histories of these locations, move on to the Dark Hedges, which are referred to as the Kingsroad in the HBO series Game of Thrones.
Take a stroll among the trees made famous by the television series Game of Thrones, and then stop for lunch at a traditional tavern (own expense).
See more Game of Thrones sites later on. Pass by the area of Carnlough Harbour where Arya Stark swam.
