The statue is admired not only for its artistic brilliance but also for its symbolic representation of courage and triumph of good over evil.
  • David stands at an impressive 17 feet (5.17 meters) tall, showcasing Michelangelo's mastery in sculpting the human form. The level of detail, from the veins on the hands to the tension in the muscles, is extraordinary.
  • Upon entering the Accademia Gallery, you'll find David in the Hall of the Prisoners (Galleria dell'Accademia di Firenze - Sala dei Prigioni), a room specifically designed to house this monumental sculpture.
