Puncak, located about 70 km southeast of Jakarta, is a cool mountainous region that offers a refreshing escape from the city. Nestled between the slopes of the Gede-Pangrango Mountains to the south and the Jonggol Mountains (often called the Prabu Siliwangi Forest) to the north, much of the area falls within the Gede Pangrango National Park.
