Take an Edinburgh Castle Guided Walking Tour to see the residence of Mary Queen of Scots. Admire the Great Hall from the 16th century, where feasts and celebrations were held. Discover the violent past of the monarchs and queens who called this fortress home. After meeting your guide, take a stroll to Edinburgh Castle, which towers over the city skyline from its perch atop Castle Rock, an extinct volcano. Take a stroll down the castle's promenade to learn about the building's history and sieges. See the location of the Royal Military Tattoo. The guide will show you around the many areas of the stronghold and narrate its intriguing history once you're inside the castle walls. Three museums, two jails, a dog cemetery, the Chapel of Saint Margaret, the National Monument to the Fallen of Scotland, the Great Hall, and a Royal Palace are all located inside the complex.(TOUR WILL STAY OUTDOORS; there will be no building access throughout the tour.) Admire the magnificence of a Royal Palace and the Great Hall. You will have time to visit every structure within the castle until it closes after the tour.
