Full Description
Experience Australia’s unique wildlife up close at Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures, a wildlife sanctuary and eco-park situated between Cairns and Port Douglas in Wangetti. Upon arrival, you’ll be assigned a time for a boat tour where you can witness crocodiles being fed with poles, a thrilling highlight of the visit.
Throughout the day, you can deepen your knowledge of crocodiles and snakes through daily talks and interactive shows, including a guided tour of the crocodile farm, a crocodile attack demonstration, and a venomous snake presentation.
Take your time exploring the park’s 2.5 km of boardwalks and trails, which wind through melaleuca wetlands, eucalypt woodlands, and riverine rainforest, home to a diverse array of native and exotic animals. When hunger strikes, the onsite bistro offers a selection of snacks and meals to refuel.
After the scheduled shows, wander the wildlife exhibits at your leisure. Encounter Komodo dragons, alligators, cassowaries, wombats, koalas, emus, lizards, kangaroos, and wallabies. In the Gallery of Living Art, walk among tropical and predatory birds in a large aviary, then explore the reptile room to see exotic reptiles up close. End your adventure with a memorable photo alongside a baby crocodile, friendly snake, or lizarda, a perfect keepsake of your day.
