At Hofburg Palace's distinctive, baroque Winter Riding School, constructed under Charles VI, take in the Ballet of the White Stallions. The rider and their Lipizzans had trained for these performances for years. The only school in the world that has been practicing classical equitation in the Haute Ecole's Renaissance tradition for over 450 years is the Spanish riding school. They captivate the audience with their performances of amazing exercises like caprioles, Levade, and many more, whether they are the completely trained School Stallions or the youthful, rowdy stallions. The High School of Classical Horsemanship is a perfect fit for the elegance and physique of Lipizzans. They are the oldest breed of horse in Europe. One of the main responsibilities of the Spanish Riding School, which is listed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, is the maintenance and training of the High School of Classical Horsemanship.

Renowned multimedia artist André Heller created a particularly moody lighting design for the performances at the world's most exquisite riding arena. The fantastic performance of the rider and their Lipizzans is enhanced by this ambiance and the classical Viennese music that goes with it. The Tribute to Vienna performance lasts two hours, the Standard Performance is seventy minutes long, and the 1.5-hour Gala Performance includes live moderating.
