Tour Plan

What To Expect

Take a guided tour to admire Ravenna's magnificent mosaics and learn about its vast history. Get tickets to four local attractions and explore with a knowledgeable guide.

One of the most important examples of early Christian art in Italy is the Church of San Vitale. As soon as you enter the cathedral, you will be drawn in by its high ceilings, intricate mosaics in the apse, and the stunning depiction of the Byzantine imperial couple Justinian and Theodora in procession.
The Western Roman ruler Galla Placidia ordered the construction of his tomb, which was completed in the mid-5th century.
Throughout the ages, the countless stars of the dome have attracted the attention and imagination of tourists and famous figures such as the famous poet Dante Alighieri. Dante Alighieri was inspired by them to write part of the Divine Comedy.
One of the city's oldest monuments is the Neon Baptistery, which is made of plain brick on the outside, but decorated on the inside with mosaics, marble, and stucco with strong Hellenistic Roman influences.
After the tour, your guide will take you to the entrance of the Archbishop's Museum, so you can visit the Archbishop's Museum according to your schedule and interests. Surrounded by numerous works of art and archaeological finds, St. Andrew's Church houses the last UNESCO World Heritage Site. Because it depicts the glory of Christ, it is the only surviving example of an early Christian archbishop.
