The tower’s construction began in 1172 and was completed in three stages over a period of 199 years. The tower, along with the nearby cathedral, baptistery, and cemetery, was designated as part of the Piazza del Duomo UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. This ticket allows you to visit all of the open monuments and museums in the square during their open hours, including the Tower. You can visit the Tower on the specified day and time. Due to matroneum restoration work, some areas within the Baptistery are closed. Bypass the ticket office and arrive at your reserved entrance time at the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Admire the interior of the Pisa Cathedral. Climb the tower at your own pace to the top.

For a stress-free visit to the Leaning Tower, located in Piazza del Duomo next to the 11th-century Cathedral and the Baptistery, skip the long lines at the ticket office and go straight to the tower at your reserved time slot.
Walk past the notoriously long lines and take your time admiring the tower and cathedral. After the cathedral and the baptistery, the Tower is the third oldest structure in Piazza del Duomo.

The climb is on foot and there are 251 steps.

The staff will welcome the visitors with a brief description of the history of the Tower.

For safety reasons, children who will not have turned 8 by the end of this year are not permitted to enter.
Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. ID may be requested to certify the age.

Cathedral opening hours (last entry 30 minutes prior to closing): Dec–Jan: 10:00 AM-12:45 PM; 2:00 PM-5:00 PM, Nov–Feb: 10:00 AM-12:45 PM; 2:00 PM-5:00 PM, March: 10:00 AM-6:00 PM, April–Sep: 10:00 AM-8:00 PM, and Oct: 10:00 AM-7:00 PM

    The Pisa is amazing and awe inspiring to see up close. Climbing is not hard, but the stairs are marble and no railings… and worn down on the left side as you are climbing…

    Nice trip
    One of Italy's top attractions was quite touristic, with large crowds as to be expected. It was a must-see for us, but we only had time for it once. Otherwise, I would happily spend the rest of my days in the towns of Tuscany.
