Full Description

Start your tour of the highlights of the Dutch Golden Age by meeting your guide at Cobra Cafe, located on Museumplein, near to the Rijksmuseum. The Rijksmuseum ticket will be prepared for you by your guide at the beginning.

Find out what art and artifacts characterized the fledgling Dutch Republic. Admire the still life paintings' illusionistic quality and draw inspiration from Rembrandt's "The Nightwatch" size. Discover the most well-known exhibits and pieces in the museum, such as the portraits by Rembrandt, the self-portrait by Ferdinand Bol, the family interiors by Jan Steen, the porcelains from the 7th century, the doll houses from the 17th century, and the Pierre Cuypers Library. Your ticket is good for all day, and your professional guide will explain the social and historical background that led to one of the largest middle-class art markets the world had ever seen. After the tour, you can explore the remaining 8,000 pieces on display or unwind in the museum shop or cafe.
