Full Description
Travel from Geneva to the famous mountain resort of Chamonix on a guided day tour. The journey takes you across the French border through the scenic Arve Valley before reaching Chamonix, a town surrounded by the dramatic peaks of the Alps.
Once in Chamonix, admire the impressive landscape at the foot of Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in Western Europe. Depending on the option selected, you may take the cable car to the summit of Aiguille du Midi, which reaches an altitude of about 3,842 meters and offers panoramic views of the French, Swiss, and Italian Alps.
You can also choose to ride the Montenvers rack railway to the Mer de Glace glacier, the longest glacier in France. The train journey travels through striking mountain scenery before arriving at the glacier area.
During the tour, there is free time to explore the village of Chamonix, browse shops, or enjoy lunch at your leisure before returning to Geneva in the evening.

- You will be crossing the Franco-Swiss border: Please remember to bring your passport
- Children under 3 years are not allowed to ascend the cable car to Aiguille du Midi
- This tour is subject to mountain weather conditions, activities can close during the day and there is no refund possible. Alternatives will be offered in the event of this happening
- If you choose the Aiguille du Midi and Mer de Glace options, you will be provided with a multipass. Multipass which gives access to all the facilities of the Mont Blanc company
- If you use this Multipass for a single activity, it will be considered by the Compagnie du Mont-Blanc as used and cannot be refunded if the other activities are closed. The Mont Blanc company offers alternative activities but does not authorize refunds of the multipass
- Due to maintenance works, some attractions will be temporarily closed: Mer de Glace (03.11 - 21.11) & Aiguille du Midi (03.11 - 19.12). Alternative tours will be offered during this period.
