Full Description
Travel from Porto into the UNESCO-listed Douro Valley, one of the world’s oldest wine-producing regions, on a guided full-day excursion. Along the journey, admire terraced vineyards and rolling hills while learning about the area’s wine heritage. The experience includes visits to local wine estates where you’ll taste regional wines and olive oil and gain insight into traditional production methods.
During the day, enjoy a traditional lunch paired with local flavors before continuing to the river for a scenic boat cruise on the Douro River, offering views of vineyard-covered slopes and peaceful countryside scenery. The tour blends sightseeing, cultural discovery, and gastronomy, allowing you to explore the valley’s landscapes and traditions before returning to Porto at the end of the day.
Know Before You Go
- For tours with a meeting point, please arrive 15 minutes before the start time.
- Only 5 minutes waiting time after the scheduled start.
- If you booked hotel pickup, pickup runs between 7:30 and 8:00 (exact time sent the day before).
- Group sizes may increase without notice and the tour may be bilingual.
- This activity includes a free Porto walking tour, but availability must be requested in advance.
- If you booked pickup and did not provide your location at checkout, you must inform us at least 32 hours before; otherwise you will meet at the designated point. Changes are only possible with more than 48h notice.
- For children under 8, age must be given in advance as a child seat is mandatory. Without this, the child cannot join.
- Groups making separate bookings must inform us in advance and with time if they wish to stay together, otherwise we cannot guarantee the same vehicle or group.
