Discover the new volcano of La Palma and its repercussions as you explore the youngest piece of land on the continent that was built in 2021. See the lava flows and trek to the top of the volcano on this guided walking tour. Start your climb at Tacande, also known as the Burnt Mountain, the first historic volcano to be reported in 1480. Begin climbing the recently built Cumbre Vieja volcano and take in the breathtaking scenery that was created in an only 85 days. Trek to the summit of the volcano and then follow a comfortable 8-kilometer path around the rear side to witness the eruption's power. (The crater is not a place to climb). Learn about how the lava flow destroyed over 3000 structures, and forests, and built a new peninsula. See where the fiery molten rock carved its own way and created a new volcanic environment.
