Full Description
The Museo Picasso Málaga is housed in the Palacio de Buenavista, declared a national monument in 1939 and opened in the heart of Málaga in 2003. The building boasts a harmonious blend of Renaissance and Mudejar elements and calm contemporary lines. The underground floor contains Phoenician, Roman and Arab ruins.
This ticket gives access to the permanent collection containing examples of Picasso's revolutionary innovations. View paintings, drawings, sculptures, ceramics and graphic works, from his early academic studies to his personal neoclassical perspective.
Know Before You Go
- Please note that if you buy a reduced of free ticket, you must show identification at the Ticket Office.
- Your time slot for access to the museum includes a 15-minute margin.
- The archaeological site can be entered with any museum entry ticket.
- Cloakroom service available. Only suitcases and backpacks with a maximum of 55 x 35 x 20 cm are allowed. Objects deposited in the locker must be picked up on the same day.
- Scooters, tricycles, and bicycles are not accepted.
- Umbrellas and other potentially dangerous objects must be deposited in the cloakroom.
- Drinks and food must remain inside the bag.
- On Sundays, entrance is free 2 hours before closing time.
- Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
- The audio guide for the exhibitions is only available in English and Spanish.
- Equipment is available for people who are blind or visually impaired (audio-written guides) in Spanish and with sign language in Spanish for the 'Pablo Picasso: Structures of Invention. The Unity of a Life's Work'.
