Full Description
Take part in this unique art tour and explore Barcelona’s rich artistic heritage. In 1895, following the loss of his younger sister, Picasso’s family relocated to Barcelona, where his artistic journey began. During the tour, you will visit Carrer d'Avinyó, a street that influenced his renowned masterpiece The Young Ladies of Avignon, as well as Carrer dels Escudellers, where he had a studio in 1899. The route continues along Passeig de Colom, passing the former home of his first wife, Russian ballerina Olga Khokhlova. Along the way, you will also see Roy Lichtenstein’s abstract sculpture El Cap de Barcelona, the Royal Academy of Arts where Picasso studied, and the stunning Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar. The tour concludes in front of the Picasso Museum.
