This museum is located in one of the largest and oldest museum harbors in the Netherlands. Here you can see antique ships and cranes and learn how this area became home to the world's great ports. All antique ships and cranes are kept in working condition and ready for exploration. For 140 years, this museum has been able to welcome new generations and instill a passion for the marine world in them.

- The museum has exhibitions for all ages and contains a museum caf, an Ice cream parlour and a museum shop.
- The Maritime Museum is located in the center of Rotterdam and can easy be reached by all means of transportation.
- The museum is closed on Mondays, New Years Day, during the Rotterdam Marathon, Kings Day and Christmas.
