In 1987, UNESCO declared the Alcázar a World Heritage Site and recognized the survival of cultures and civilizations in a harmonious whole.
Explore the site's unique surroundings and listen to detailed commentary from a private guide. Learn about the legendary al-Mutamid, an 11th-century ruler and poet from Seville, and some of the figures who illuminated today's Spain in the early 19th century.

Meet your guide early in the morning, enter the Alcázar and head straight inside to admire this cultural and architectural wonder. During the tour of the monument with your guide, you will learn about the history of the city and about this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

  • The tour inside the monument lasts one hour and thirty minutes.
  • This bilingual tour is offered in Spanish and English.
  • Please note that you must tell the local partner the full name and ID number or passport number of each participant, including infants, due to Alcazar policy. Without this information, you may be refused admission.
  • Please include each participant's full name, date of birth, nationality and identification details when booking; obtaining this information in advance will grant access to the Alcazar.
  • You must present your ID or passport when entering the Alcazar.
  • Wheelchair access is available at the Alcázar, although structural issues may require modification of the planned itinerary.
