The remarkable blend of Christian and Moorish design is found at Seville's Royal Alcázar, which was first built in 913 as a fort for the city's Cordoban rulers. Over the course of the eleven centuries since its construction, it has undergone multiple renovations before being designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987.
Discover how several kings made the Alcázar their principal residence once Christian king Fernando III resided it after seizing Seville in 1248. Learn about the Alcázar's use as a filming site for the Game of Thrones television series as well.

- Only EU citizens are entitled to a reduced entrance fee for pensioners or students between the ages of 17 and 25 (after presenting the necessary documentation at the monument's ticket office).
- This item is a ticket only; guide services are not included. Mondays from October to December, from 16:00 to 17:00, are the days to enter the palace for free.
- Children born in or currently residing in Seville, minors under 16 (accompanied by an adult), persons with disabilities and their accompanying persons are entitled to free entry upon presentation of the necessary documents.
