Full Description
Depart from Tbilisi early in the morning and travel along the famous Georgian Military Highway into the heart of the Caucasus Mountains. The first stop is at the Zhinvali Reservoir, a striking lake set among mountain scenery, followed by a visit to the Ananuri Fortress to learn about its historical significance and take in panoramic views. Continue on to Pasanauri for a local lunch before arriving in Gudauri, where there is time to stroll and enjoy views of the mountains and the Friendship Monument. The journey proceeds to Stepantsminda (Kazbegi), where you can visit the iconic Gergeti Trinity Church set high above the valley with Mount Kazbegi in the background. The tour ends with a return to Tbilisi in the evening.
