Meeting Point

Meet at Dock 42, North side, which is located about 800m north from Margaret Bridge. Look for the illuminated Dock 42 sign and the LED panel. The vessel's name will be M/S Neptun, but occasionally other boats may do the service as well. Please use your phone's navigation software or Maps. Search for "DOCK 42" or "Portum Lines." Do not rely on the zip code or address only.

  • The boat you'll ride on is the M/S Neptun; occasionally, other boats may be used
  • Seats are taken in the order of arrival. There are no assigned seats, though seating options are available
  • Food and drinks may be purchased only at the boat's bar (you can not bring/consume food or drinks on board)
  • The boat will start at the exact time indicated on the voucher. It is recommended to arrive at the dock 15 minutes before that. Avoid arriving only 5 minutes before departure. Prior passengers need to exit before boarding, therefore please do not block the entrance.
  • Toilettes are not usable 5 minutes before returning to the dock.

What sights will I see on the Budapest sightseeing cruise?

  • You will marvel at Budapest's stunning skyline and passing monuments such as the National Parliament, Buda Castle, and the Várkert Bazár. Depending on the time of day, you can see the illuminated Vigadó Concert Hall and other monuments lit up or in different colors between the Margaret Bridge and Rákóczi Bridge.

Is there a guide provided on the cruise?

  • The tour is not guided. It is designed to give you an experience similar to that of a local, with the boat functioning as a floating coffee house or pub. You can enjoy the views and atmosphere at your own pace.

Can I purchase food and drinks on the boat?

  • Yes, there is a bar on board where you can purchase additional drinks and have a hot cup of coffee. However, you cannot bring or consume your own food or drinks on board.

What is the policy if I miss the cruise?

  • If you miss the cruise, you can use the same voucher for other departure times for a fee of 6€ per person on the boat, valid until the day after the original departure date as a gesture of goodwill.

How early should I arrive at the dock, and what is the boarding process?
