Full Description
Embark on an unforgettable 3-day Sahara Desert tour beginning with pickup in Marrakech and a scenic drive through the High Atlas Mountains and historic landscapes. You’ll visit the UNESCO-listed Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou and other highlights, enjoy breathtaking views along the way, and travel through desert gorges. In Merzouga you’ll experience camel trekking across the golden Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset, spend the night in a traditional Berber camp, enjoy a desert dinner and music, and rise early to watch a spectacular desert sunrise. On the final day, after breakfast, you’ll return over scenic routes back to Marrakech with drop-off at your hotel or central location.
Know Before You Go
- Pickup Confirmation: You will receive your exact pickup time and location via WhatsApp and GetYourGuide chat the evening before your tour (between 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM). Please check your messages before contacting support.
- Luggage: Large suitcases stay securely in the vehicle during the tour. You must pack a small backpack for the night in the desert, as camels cannot carry large luggage.
- Dietary Requirements: Vegetarian, Vegan, and Gluten-Free meals are available. You do not need to email us; simply inform your driver on the first morning of the tour.
- Winter Heating (Nov–Feb): Desert nights are cold (0°C–5°C). Please note that Standard Tents do NOT have heating (warm blankets are provided). Luxury Tents are equipped with heating.
- Communication: A working mobile number with WhatsApp is required for coordination.
- Cash: Please bring cash (EUR or MAD) for lunches (approx. €10–13/meal), drinks, and tips, as ATMs are not available in the desert.
