Full Description

Set out on a memorable journey to the Scottish Highlands—perfect whether you're hoping to spot the legendary Loch Ness Monster or simply enjoy a scenic escape from Edinburgh. After pickup, settle into a comfortable, air-conditioned coach and enjoy your guide’s lively stories and music as you travel through some of Scotland’s most dramatic landscapes.

Your first stop is in the Callander area, where you can grab a warm drink and, depending on the season, you may even catch a glimpse of Scotland’s beloved Highland cows.

The adventure continues deeper into the Highlands as you approach the striking valley of Glencoe. As you drive through, your guide will share tales of the historic clan conflicts that took place here, accompanied by traditional Scottish music. A short photo break allows you to capture the rugged beauty of this atmospheric region.

Journey onward to the Fort William area, where you’ll pause for lunch. Your guide can recommend local dining options, and if you’re curious about Scotland’s national attire, you can enjoy a fun, informal introduction to the traditional kilt.

After lunch, the highlight of the day awaits—Loch Ness. Here, you can tailor your experience with several optional activities.

  • Explore the impressive 16th-century Urquhart Castle and join a 30-minute cruise in search of “Nessie.”

  • Relax at the hotel and take part in the Donald Fraser Illicit Whisky Experience, a 20–30 minute session featuring a short film on Scotland’s whisky-smuggling past, paired with a dram of their signature blend

  • Choose independent exploration—walk the scenic Old Coffin Road or take a one-hour round-trip cruise along the loch with unbeatable views of Urquhart Castle.

As you head back, enjoy the final stretch along Loch Ness before passing through Inverness and turning south. A brief snack stop in the charming Victorian town of Pitlochry breaks up the journey, before you return to Edinburgh around 20:30.

Travel tip: Bring a packed lunch to save time and make the most of every stop along the way.
