Full Description
Set off from Geneva on a half-day excursion to Annecy, a picturesque French town recognized with France’s prestigious “Art and History” designation. Wander through charming streets along the river and enjoy time to explore the town’s shops and scenic surroundings.
Depart from the central bus station in Geneva and travel about 45 minutes across the border into France. Once in Annecy, join a guided introductory walking tour before having free time to discover the town on your own.
As you stroll through the town and follow the River Thiou, you will pass food markets, flea markets, and historic monuments. Along the way, you can admire landmarks such as the famous Palais de l'Île.
You’ll also have time to browse artisan shops, enjoy a meal or coffee in a traditional café or restaurant, and walk along the lake or canals decorated with colorful flowers and charming houses before returning to Geneva.
