Full Description

Seven Magic Mountains, a large site-specific public art work by renowned Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone, is located about 10 miles south of Las Vegas, Nevada, between Jean Dry Lake and Interstate 15. Seven Magic Mountains, which consists of seven towers of brightly colored, stacked stones that are more than 30 feet high are a creative representation of the human presence in the desert. They interrupt the Mojave with a poetic explosion of form and color.
The Nevada Museum of Art and the Art Production Fund collaborated to create Seven Magic Mountains. The show was originally intended to remain on display for two years and began on May 11, 2016. Artist Ugo Rondinone expressed a strong desire to keep the artwork on display in its current location due to the incredible success of the work since its debut.
