Go to Sultan Ahmed neighborhood and go to the first mosque, Hagia Sophia. Originally an Orthodox church in early Constantinople (now Istanbul), this famous mosque was built by the Byzantine Emperor Justinian I in the 6th century AD. This famous place has served as a museum, mosque and Catholic church for nearly 1500 years. - History of the year Then continue to the magnificent Blue Mosque. Sultan Ahmed was the first builder of this mosque, so its original name is Sultan Ahmed Mosque. This mosque was built in the early 1600s by a victorious sultan. Despite having no achievements for himself, Sultan Ahmed built this magnificent building against the advice of his advisors. This will be his most lasting legacy. Now it is known as "Blue Mosque" because of the blue color of the blue tiles that are arranged in the geometrical and floral patterns of the mosque. Sulaymaniyah Mosque is your final destination for this day. The Suleymaniye Mosque, located on the third hill of Istanbul, held the title of the largest mosque in the city for more than 450 years until it was surpassed in 2019.
